Spring Training by Fred Harteis
“Baseball professionals hone critical fundamental skills in Spring Training”. –Fred Harteis
Spring in the North is a time of year for a new fresh start for vegetation and tree growth, change is literally in the air. In the South – spring has an additional meaning – spring training especially baseball. This is a time of great vision and hopes of the World Series. Spring training in baseball is for the professionals who work diligently to hone their skills. They get in shape and focus on fundamentals to improve their play ability. The players have coaches for pitching, fielding, base running, ball handling and hitting with proper form.
Spring is a time of year we can learn from the example of the Baseball Professionals. We can assess our performance, seek counsel from our mentor and become better at our field, through practice, focus and mentoring. Teams that will win grow and work together for a common goal.
So you can develop a spring training program by Setting goals, develop a plan, ask your mentor for direction and correction. We can all improve at our game. Start afresh and your rewards will be limitless.
